As we prepare to fish the Power-Pole Pro Redfish Open this weekend, we felt it important to update the wrap on the boat since the tournament is the first tournament of the 2022 season. Yep...it's still 2021, but it appears they wanted to get a jump on things due to the busy schedule.
I have to say the folks at Edwards Interior Graphics are easy to work with when it comes to creating the design and they provide the best quality install you could ask for. We made a few changes in comparison to the last wrap. We no longer carry the Purple heart on the boat since the majority of our disabled veterans are not combat wounded. We also felt it important for our fallen heroes to stand out a bit more than before. We moved them up to the console where they can be seen easily. Although the graphics seem to leave out our Air Force, Space Force and Coast Guard family, it's really not about what's on the boat. It's about what's in the boat. Each of the veterans we take out on the water, regardless of the branch of service, are our family.
This weekend will be the maiden voyage for the new wrap. If you see us in Tampa Bay, pull up alongside of us for a quick chat. We would love to hear from you. While we are in Tampa Bay, we will be honoring the memory of SPC Etienne Murphy. SPC Murphy was an Army Ranger that had only been deployed to Syria for 5 days when he succumbed to injuries sustained in a vehicle roll-over. We want to ensure that all of our fallen heroes are remembered for their sacrifice. If you are participating in the tournament, stop by our boat and talk to us. We are always happy to talk about our efforts to support our disabled veterans.
