Many of you may have noticed that I haven't posted to the site in a while. Please accept my apology for this. My regular job requires that I travel and it has made keeping up with the website a bit difficult at times. That being said, if you have a passion for our veterans and enjoy web design, message me. I'm always looking for volunteers. C4aC recently held our 2nd quarter board meeting. Since our last outing was during the first week of April, there really wasn't much discussion regarding expenses. We received a little and spent a little on our typical administrative expenses associated with our software licenses. However, one of the big things that did occur is I have sold my personal boat that I have been using for the organization. This was a planned sale based on the current market that allowed us to lose as little as possible of the boats original purchase value. With that, we are now preparing to organize a fundraising campaign for a corporate boat that will allow us to carry our wheelchair members. Watch our website and our various social media platforms for upcoming information. In conjunction with our fundraising efforts, I will be looking for a personal boat that will allow us to be more competitive in inshore fishing tournaments. Because of how some perceived our participation in tournaments, I have decided to keep that aspect of what we do separate from everything else. As has always been the case, tournaments will have their own specific funding. However, when a veteran is participating in a tournament on my personal boat, the organization will provide a jersey for the event to represent the organization. In addition, there will also be opportunities for members to fish in tournaments local to their area through our Victories for Veterans program. This program is limited based on the budget and is fulfilled on a first come, first serve basis. If you have a tournament that you would specifically like to compete in, we will assist in fundraising efforts as part of this program. Finally, we are approaching August, when we begin looking for sponsors for 2023. I'm currently running twin Garmin 942xs systems in our boat, but the picture is certainly not worth 1,000 good words. We've added a separate Panoptics system that is portable to help with finding fish along the shoreline. What improvements are available for the 942 above and beyond the single thru-hull transducer we have?
